Sweet Sundays: 5 Ingredient Sugar Cookies

Sugar, sugar! Sometimes a craving hits and all it takes is a handful of ingredients and a dash (or two) of those happy sprinkles to keep the Sunday scaries at bay. And I love that my apartment smells buttery for a few hours after. :) Also, my new favorite thing is to freeze cookies and eat them cold - does anyone else like this, too?

  • 3/4 cup butter, slightly softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Multi-colored nonpariels (sprinkles)

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees
  • Combine butter, sugar, and vanilla in a medium bowl
  • Beat with an electric mixer at medium speed, scarping bowl often, until creamy
  • Reduce speed to low, add flour and salt
  • Continue to beat until well mixed and then stir in nonpariels
  • Roll batter into small balls and place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet
  • Bake for 7-9 minutes
  • Enjoy!
