TNH Basics: Simple Red Sauce

I have been lucky enough to get to know many of my mom's students from around the world through her work as an English as a Second Language teacher. I am particularly close to Bernice, who grew up in a small village outside of Rome. She has taught me all I know about authentic Italian dishes using her family's old recipes! I can't wait to share more of them. Here is Bernice's red sauce- I enjoyed it over brown rice pasta for my Sunday dinner. I put the remaining sauce in mason jars and placed them in the fridge (they'll remain good for the next week and a half or so). Pasta all day, erryday. Mangia!
