A few weekends back, Michele, Peyton, Betsy, Anna and I road tripped to Colgate. I hadn't been back since graduating and I couldn't wait- it was so nice to get in a car and out of the city, to drive through sleepy towns and over rolling hills, all the while reminiscing with giddy anticipation. It's a funny thing to return to school- to see that everything is the same but for it to feel inexplicably different. So many memories (both good and bad) squeezed into four years! I vascillated between experiencing extreme envy and immense relief that I was no longer a student. Colgate had never looked more beautiful and the magic I felt when I arrived that August afternoon a few years back returned. But when it came time to leave on Sunday afternoon it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be- as the chapel faded in the rear window, I had my four favorite parts of Colgate with me, giggling in the backseat.
Highlights included staying at the Weathervane Farm, snowshoeing, food, and Mary's Specials. I know that we inundated all five of our social media channels with our excitement, but I wanted to share a few more favorite snapshots from the trip. :)
